(Migration) Discover Onboarding Milestones

Welcome to Discover,


There are some key steps to complete to ensure your onboarding is as smooth as possible. 

In your Welcome Call, your Onboarding Specialist will discuss with you the Milestones and a roll out plan for a Successful Onboarding experience.


The team is here to help, so please don't hesitate to get in touch should you have any questions at any stage! 


Your Onboarding Journey will take approximately 12 weeks.

Milestone 1-5 = 4-6 Weeks
Milestone 6 = 6 weeks

Onboarding to Discover = 12 weeks in total.


Your Onboarding Specialist will be there to guide you, every step of the way with resources for you and your staff. 



Milestone 1: Welcome to Discover & Set Up your Service


Teams Call 1.1 Welcome to Discover

Teams Call 1.2 Navigation & Centre Settings


  • Attend your Welcome Call with your Onboarding Specialist
  • Return the Information required - Centre Set Up, Fees, & Holiday Policy
  • If you would like to use the Digital Enrolment Form in Discover, please send through a copy of your existing Enrolment Form and we can set this up for you.
  • Your Onboarding Specialist will set up your Centre & Book your Migration (if required)
  • Attend your Discover Navigation & Settings Overview Call 
  • Finalise your Centre Settings (Steps here) & Centre Tabs (Steps here)
  • Complete the Service Set Up Learning Path
  • Test your Knowledge here


Milestone 2: Staff Profiles, Child & Parent Profiles

Teams Call 2.2 Child & Parent Profiles

  • Attend your Discover Staff Profiles Session with your Onboarding Specialist
  • Make sure Staff Details are correct in Discover, Qualifications have been added, & ECE Census Section has been updated, and if using pay parity, that has been set up.
  • Attend your Discover Child & Parent Profiles, Enrolments (Bookings, Timetables) & Attestations Sessions
  • Print out your attestations/Enrolment Forms for Parents to sign 
  • Make sure the child profiles have all information required for Go Live
  • Complete Child Profiles & Enrolment Learning Path
  • Complete Staff Management in Discover Learning Path
  • Test your Knowledge Child Profiles & Enrolments here
  • Test your Knowledge Staff Management in Discover here

Milestone 3: Get ready to Go Live - Family Experience & Create Rosters


Teams Call 3.1 Get Parents ready for Go Live Week

Teams Call 3.2 Create your Rosters

  • Attend your Family Experience Onboarding Session
  • Decide how your families will be signing their children in and out of the service see here
  • Complete Bookings & Attendance Learning Path
  • Complete Discover App Learning Path
  • Test your Knowledge for Bookings & Attendance here
  • End all Child Enrolments and add Leaving Dates for staff for the last day of operation in your old software.
  • Remove all Calendar entries from your old software.


Milestone 4: Go Live Week


Teams Call 4.1 Go Live Check in Call

  • Your Onboarding Specialist will connect your Service to the Ministry
  • Begin using Discover for your day to day Operations 
  • Use the Discover sign in and out method you have chosen
  • Attend your Go Live Session Q&A
  • Complete Ministry of Education Learning Path
  • Test your Knowledge here
    Make sure you have run your last Invoicing in your old Software & sent through your balances to your Onboarding Specialist.


Milestone 5: Invoicing & Parent Payments


Teams Call 5.1 Run your first batch of Invoices

Teams Call 5.2 Check in Call how did Invoicing go?

  • Attend your Invoicing & Parent Payments Onboarding Session
    Your Onboarding Specialist will take you through
    How to record parent payments
    Setting your Invoice Settings
    Running your first Invoices. For extra information see here

  • Book in a catch up call to ask any Questions & confirm processes for this week.
  • Complete Invoicing & Parent Payments Learning Path 
  • Test your Knowledge here

Milestone 6: Transition to Ongoing Support

Teams Call 6.1 Weekly Check in calls to be set up with your Onboarding Specialist.

  • You will continue to have weekly check in meetings with your Onboarding Specialist 
  • Ask any questions you have about any of the processes or new queries that have come up since going live in Discover.
  • In week 12 - Your Onboarding Specialist will provide you with how to contact our Support Team, as well as how to book in for Training or our Expert Hour Webinars.
