When you onboard with Discover, there may be a chance that you have an overlapping funding period with an alternative software provider. To make this transition as smooth as possible, please follow the steps outlined below.
Complete all your normal checks and updates in your previous system then, print and keep a copy of your RS7 up to the cutover date.
Then at the end of the current funding period
- Email the copy you have kept of the RS7 from the old platform.
- Submit the rest of the RS7 electronically via Discover.
Previous APT Customers
Ensure that the centre is set to closed for all the weeks between your actual last day with APT and the end of the funding period then you create the RS7 as usual.
You can then email this to the MOE as the electronic upload at the submission time.
Ending Care Dates
If the MOE requires you to 'end enrolments' in APT/Infocare, it means you need to go into each child and update their ending date.
- Infocare - To end the enrollment for children currently enrolled, Go to Children, Select the child and select Modify, and set the 'Date Leaving' to the last day that you are using Infocare.
This will mean that you claim funding up to, and including, that day. - APT - You set the end date of the enrolments to the last day before switching to Discover
Change of Ownership
Services are reminded that when a service changes ownership, that only one RS7 Return can be uploaded electronically. The second RS7 Return must be submitted manually through the ECE Funding mailbox.
The Ministry is not able to split funding payments between parties. This should be negotiated between old and new owners. We are also unable to provide previous funding notices to the new owner.
