Welcome to Discover,
There are some key steps to complete to ensure your onboarding is as smooth as possible. In your Welcome Call, your Onboarding Specialist will provide you with a checklist of all the steps for a smooth transition!
When a Centre already exists on Discover the Set up Process is a little different.
We must have the Authority to Copy signed by the Current Owner. Once this is signed and passed along to your Onboarding Specialist, then they can begin creating your copy of the Service.
Only Active Staff, Children, Parents will be copied over.
Your Onboarding Specialist will Copy the Centre for you exactly as it is:
- Centre Set Up will be copied
- Fees Copied
- Settings Copied
- Centre Tabs copied
- Staff Records
- Child & Parent Records
Please speak to your Onboarding Specialist if you are taking on Balances of accounts from the previous owner. We generally do not migrate them from service to service as it is not Standard Practice.
Once you have access to your Centre, you will be able to change any of the existing information.

Your Onboarding Journey will take approximately 12 weeks.
Milestone 1-5 - 4-6 Weeks
Milestone 6 - 6 weeks = 12 weeks in total.
Your Onboarding Specialist will be there to guide you, every step of the way as well as having checklist, and links to instructions.
Milestone 1: Welcome to Discover & Set Up your Service
- Attend your Welcome Call with your Onboarding Specialist
- As this service already exists in Discover, we copy the existing Set Up
- Advise if any of the current staff will no longer be staying on, after the
Change of ownership has taken place - Only Current, Waitlist & Enquiry Staff, Whānau & Child Profiles will be copied over.
- Any changes can be made by the new owner, after the data has been migrated

Milestone 2: Mastering Staff , Child & Parent Profiles
- Attend your Discover Staff Profiles Session with your Onboarding Specialist
- Your Onboarding Specialist will step you through how to set up your Staff Profiles.
- Attend your Discover Child & Parent Profiles, Enrolments (Bookings, Timetables) & Attestations
- Print out your attestations/Enrolment Forms for Parents to sign see here
- Complete Child Profiles & Enrolment Learning Path

Milestone 3: Get ready to Go Live - Family Experience & Create Rosters
- Attend your Family Experience Onboarding Session
- Decide how your families will be signing their children in and out of the service see here
- Set Up your preferred way of families signing in and out of the service

Milestone 4: Go Live Week
- Your Onboarding Specialist will connect your Service to the Ministry

Milestone 5: Parent Payments & Running Invoices

Milestone 6: Transition to Ongoing Support
- You will continue to have weekly check in meetings with your Onboarding Specialist
- Ask any questions you have about any of the processes or new queries that have come up since going live in Discover.
- In week 12 - Your Onboarding Specialist will provide you with how to contact our Support Team, as well as how to book in for Training or our Expert Hour Webinars.
