Discover Onboarding Milestones for a Brand New Centre Set Up

There are some key steps to complete to ensure your onboarding is as smooth as possible. 

In your Welcome Call, your Onboarding Specialist will book in your Onboarding Sessions in advance so you can get the software set up for your New Service.


The team is here to help, so please don't hesitate to get in touch should you have any questions at any stage!


Your Onboarding Journey will take approximately 12 weeks.

Milestone 1-5 - 4-6 Weeks
Milestone 6 - 6 weeks = 12 weeks in total.


Your Onboarding Specialist will be there to guide you, every step of the way.



Milestone 1: Welcome to Discover Navigation & Settings Made Easy

  • Attend your Welcome Call with your Onboarding Specialist
  • Return the Information required - Centre Set Up, Fees, & Holiday Policy
  • If you would like to use the Digital Enrolment Form in Discover, please send through a copy of your existing Enrolment Form and we can set this up for you.
  • Your Onboarding Specialist will set up your Centre & Assist to set up the Digital Enrolment Form if required.
  • Attend your Discover Navigation & Settings Overview Call 
  • Finalise your Centre Settings
  • Finalise the set up of your Centre Tabs
  • Customise your Centre Templates 
  • Set Up your Centre Calendar
  • If you are using the Digital Enrolment Form - this article will help you will how this function works. Your Onboarding Specialist will assist you with setting this up.
  • Complete the Service Set Up Learning Path
  • Test your Knowledge here



Milestone 2: Mastering Staff , Child & Parent Profiles

  • Attend your Discover Staff Profiles Session with your Onboarding Specialist
  • Your Onboarding Specialist will step you through how to set up your Staff Profiles.
  • Attend your Discover Child & Parent Profiles, Enrolments (Bookings, Timetables) & Attestations
  • Print out your attestations/Enrolment Forms for Parents to sign For Instructions click here
  • Make sure the child profiles have all information required for Go Live
  • Complete Child Profiles & Enrolment Learning Path
  • Begin Staff Management focusing on Staff Profiles Learning Path
  • Test your Knowledge Child Profiles & Enrolments here


Milestone 3: Get ready to Go Live - Family Experience & Create Rosters

  • Attend your Family Experience Onboarding Session
  • Decide how your families will be signing their children in and out of the service see here
  • Set Up your preferred way of families signing in and out of the service
  • Attend your How to Session for Creating the Roster for Go Live Week
  • Create your Roster for Go Live Week see here
  • Complete Staff Management focusing on the Roster videos Learning Path
  • Complete Staff Management Knowledge Checks
  • If your Families are signing in out using 
  • Paper Sign in & Out Sheets - Go to Reports > Children > Daily Sign In > Select your Fields > Get Report > Print 
  • Discover App to sign their Child in using a Pin or the Home App
  • Home App Complete the Learning Path 
  • Test your Home App Knowledge here



Milestone 4: Go Live Week

  • Your Onboarding Specialist will connect your Service to the Ministry
  • Begin using Discover for your day to day Operations - for ideas on what to do & when see here
  • Use the Discover sign in and out method you have chosen
  • To enter/change Attendances & Bookings see here
  • Attend your Go Live Session Q&A
  • Complete Ministry of Education Learning Path
  • Test your Knowledge here



Milestone 5: Parent Payments & Running Invoices

  • Attend your Parent Payments Onboarding Session & See here
    Your Onboarding Specialist will take you through
    How to record parent payments
  • Setting your Invoice Settings
    Running your first Invoices. For extra information see here

  • Book in a catch up call to ask any Questions & confirm processes for this week.
  • Complete Finana Learning Path 
  • Test your Knowledge here

Milestone 6: Transition to Ongoing Support

  • You will continue to have weekly check in meetings with your Onboarding Specialist 
  • Ask any questions you have about any of the processes or new queries that have come up since going live in Discover.
  • In week 12 - Your Onboarding Specialist will provide you with how to contact our Support Team, as well as how to book in for Training or our Expert Hour Webinars.
