Roll Calls
Roll calls can be completed multiple times throughout the day, and can be used to track children during emergencies and drills, and when they are offsite.
This feature also includes the option to count Staff and any Visitors.
On-Site Roll Calls
- Log in to Discover using your Pin.
- Navigate to Roll call at the top menu and select 'Children Roll Call'.
- Tap the button under the 'Select' column next to each child's name as required.
- Tap the camera icon to take a photo of each child, or upload from the gallery (optional).
- Tap 'Staff Roll Call' and tap next to each present Staff member's name under the 'Roll Call' column.
- Tap 'Visitor Roll Call' and select any Visitors present.
- Tap 'Save Roll Call' *
- Write your signature in the pop up.
- Add a note (optional).
- Tap 'Complete Roll Call'
*The 'Save Roll Call' button is visible in the Children, Staff and Visitor roll call screens. Tapping save in any of these locations will save all children, staff and visitors marked during the roll call (they do not need to be saved separately or completed one-at-a-time).
Offsite Roll Calls
- Log in to Discover using your Pin.
- Navigate to Roll call at the top menu and select 'Children Roll Call'.
- Tap the button under the 'Select' column next to each child's name as required.
- Tap 'Offsite'.
- Select whether the child/ren are away from the centre or returning.
- If away, type in the reason for the offsite roll call.
- Tap 'Save'
If a child has been marked as "Offsite", the speech bubble icon next to their name in the roll call will be highlighted in orange. Tapping this icon will show the comment left by the Teacher when they were marked as being offsite.
Pick Ups and Drop Offs from the Roll Call screen
From the Roll Call screen, Children can be picked up or dropped off individually, or in bulk.
- Log in to Discover using your Pin.
- Navigate to Roll call at the top menu and select 'Children Roll Call'.
- Tap the button under the 'Select' column next to each child's name as required, or. toggle the 'Select All Children' button at the top of the screen.
- Tap 'Pick-Up' or 'Drop-Off' as needed.
- Ensure the time is correct and tap 'Record'.
The time logged for Pick-Up/Drop-Off will be recorded in the Attendance screen in Discover.
