Primary caregivers are sent the Home App Welcome Email when the centre sends the email via the Bulk Action tool in the Discover platform. This welcome email contains steps for the parents to start using Home app.
Sending the Home App Welcome Email
Discover has a pre-prepared a message you can send to your families from the Bulk Actions screen with just a few clicks.
- Navigate to Bulk Actions > Select 'Send Welcome Email'.
- Select the date range for Enrolled children you would like to send the invitation to.
- Use the forward and backward buttons (> for individuals, or >> for bulk) to move parents/guardians to the Recipients field.
- Click 'Send Welcome Email'.
Parents/Guardians can follow the instructions in the welcome email to start using the app. For more information on how the app works, you can always refer to our FAQ.
Setting Up Additional Contacts
- Navigate to Children > Click on the relevant child > Contacts Tab.
- Click on the contact and enter their details in Personal Email.
- Click 'Create Login Password'.
This will send an automated email to the registered email id.
To reset a contact's password, click 'Change Login Password' and enter a new password on their behalf. Ensure 'email user their password's is ticked.
When a password has been created or changed, the contact will be able to change this password on their Home app.
