Playground App: Head Counts

To start a head count for a room, start in the attendance tab after tapping the room on the Playground App Dashboard.

1. In the attendance tab, tap 'Head Count' in the top right corner

2. Tap a child's name to view more information about the child, including Parents, Guardian & Emergency Contacts.

3. Click on the Rooms filter on the left to filter children by room.

4. Click "New Head Count" to begin a head count

5. Toggle each child as they are counted

   • If the child you count is not signed in you will be prompted to sign in the child in order to count them.

6. Click "Submit" once you have completed the head count. Your head count report is now ready to access in Playground Web. 

To start a head count for your whole centre, start on the Playground App Dashboard.

1. Tap 'Head Count' from the right hand side list
2. Sign in with your Educator Credentials

3. Tap a child's name to view more information about the child, including Parents, Guardian & Emergency Contacts.

4. Click on the Rooms filter on the left to filter children by room.

5. Click "New Head Count" to begin a head count

6. Toggle each child as they are counted

   • If the child you count is not signed in you will be prompted to sign in the child in order to count them.

7. Click "Submit" once you have completed the head count. Your head count report is now ready to access in Playground Web. 

Head Count will allow you to complete a head count while offline with the following considerations:

1. Child attendance status is unavailable

2. You will be unable to submit the head count until you are back online.

You can view and print Head Count records created in Playground App, on Playground Web. 

1. Log in to Playground Web 

2. Click Reports on the left hand side menu

3. Select the Head Counts tab

The table allows you to filter by date and shows the following data:

• Date 
• Time of 
• Educator 
• Room
