Playground: File Uploads

Modified on Tue, 18 Jun at 2:08 PM

Whilst Playground is a fantastic tool for creating content to document children's learning and experiences and share with your families, you can also use Playground to share pre-existing file types and use these to enhance your Posts, Documents and Tables.

Photo & Video File Types

  • When creating Posts in Playground App, you can take pictures directly in the app and share these individually when creating a Post.
  • You can also take multiple photos on the device and use Playground App to share up to 32 of these in a single Post.

  • Videos up to 30 seconds can also be uploaded using Playground App, either individually or alongside photos.
  • When using Playground Web to create Posts, you can upload up to 32 images from your device
  • Videos up to 250mb in size can also be uploaded using Playground Web, either individually or alongside photos.
  • Photos and video which take longer than 5 minutes to upload will time out and will not be able to added to your Observation.

  • Media attachments are able to progress in the background, even when you're is not actively using the app and/or engaging in other activities within Playground/other apps.
  • The progress is shown to you in real-time, with no media being lost, saving valuable time with this automated process.

File types currently supported in Playground include the standard file types: jpeg, gif, png etc. PDF, HEIC, zip and SVG files are not support in Playground.

There could be further limits on some proprietary formats, as the intention is that all Playground and Home users can access the content to be able to view it on their device.

File Types

  • When creating Documents and Tables, you can upload and share pre-existing files with your teams and families.
