Features & Enhancements

Reporting Changes

  • A new report has been added under Children Reports called “Active Benefactors” that shows any active benefactors (whether they are receiving WINZ payments, ELP payments, StudyLink, etc.) for a specific period. The report can be run at a centre, group or chain level and has all the new functionality for copying, exporting or printing.
  • The Group Funding report has had a few changes made so it can also run for Playcentre and Home-based services that are part of a group or chain.
  • The Centre Balance report will now show a historical breakdown of balances owing on prior months if the parameter “Owing Money” is selected in the Centre Balance Type option. This will give the user an overview of any billpayers with significant outstanding debt in certain months.
  • The Financial Transaction report can now be sent as a CSV if more than one centre is selected.
  • A new permission has been added to enable Administrators to save Report Templates
This feature gives users the ability to set specific parameters for reports. These preset templates can be recalled under a new menu item in Reports called “Custom Reports.”
Users can save any number of templates for each report.
Note that any centre-specific parameters (i.e., Rooms or Custom Field 1) will not be saved.
To recall a report, click on the saved report name under “Custom Reports.” Users can then run the report as usual by selecting the specific date range required and clicking the “Get Report” button.
Reports with this functionality currently enabled:
    • Child Contacts

    • Weekly Forecast

    • Child Details

    • Weekly Places

    • Child Waitlist

    • Weekly Staff Roster Details

  • The Frequent Absence report has had a colour upgrade to allow users to quickly determine where a child might be on track to lose funding or if a child has lost funding due to frequent absences.
Additionally, three new columns have been added to quickly see which frequent absence rules have been broken per child, including the number of months the child has broken those rules.

Other Enhancements

  • Dates for the most recent RS7 and Census submissions have been added to the Group Management page. Users with access to this page can see the most recent submission for MOE-related requirements.

  • We’ve adjusted the logic to ensure that customers using the “Send Automated Roster Emails” option can control what URLs show in the email to staff. The ability to confirm the details will remain, but a new checkbox provides the ability to add or remove the URL that allows staff members to adjust the roster.

  • We have made further improvements to reduce latency for updating attendance, running invoicing and more.

  • We have adjusted permissions for the Holiday Entitlement button that sits on the Calendar tab of a child. Users with Write Access permissions to enrolments will be able to use the Holiday Entitlement button to override holidays. However, users with No Access or View Access to enrolments will not be able to see this button. This change is to ensure that only users who have access to modify enrolments are able to control holiday entitlements.

  • In the Benefactor Schedule screen, we’ve removed the ability to edit Rate or Hour. These should still update when the Amount changes. This change is intended to reduce confusion surrounding what fields should be updated ad hoc when modifying a benefactor’s weekly payment.
