Features & Enhancements

Bank File Upload

  • For payments that the system detects as duplicates, the user will be given the option to import those duplicates by clicking the checkbox next to those payments. In the rare case that a parent pays the same amount on the same day but at different times, customers will no longer need to add a manual payment to the account.

Roster

  • If there is a roster conflict in which a staff member is rostered for two different centres at the same time, the user will now be shown the Centre Name where the conflict occurs, making it easier to resolve such conflicts.

Dashboard & Funding Report Enhancements – Discretionary Hours

  • We have added discretionary hour columns to the Registered Staff Percentage table on the dashboard to allow administrators to quickly see the difference between Rostered and Allocated discretionary hours. The allocated hours are what Discover automatically assigns and reports to ELI during RS7 to try and ensure the 80% funding band is met*.

  • We have added the option to show Rostered and Allocated discretionary hours to the Centre Funding report. Ticking this box will show the daily breakdown of rostered and allocated discretionary hours.

    * Rostered discretionary hours will be adjusted on a day-by-day basis, and will round to the closest hour. Throughout the funding period (each time you adjust the roster), and at the end of the relevant 4 months, once all rostering and attendance has been completed, Discover will recalculate the discretionary hours (per the allocated column) to optimise your funding, with the goal to meet 80% registered teacher percentage each day. As such, you may see your allocated hours change throughout the funding period, but figures will be finalised before your RS7 is submitted.

    WINZ Auto Apply—Feature Improvement

    • We’ve made a slight adjustment to the WINZ auto apply to separate the auto-application of WINZ payments into a schedule. The first part will generate the next (rolling) seven days of WINZ payments onto the schedule, and then at the start of each day, process and receipt these payments. There should be no noticeable change to centres using the existing auto-apply feature. The future state of this feature will allow centres using auto-apply to make any adjustments for a particular week rather than adjusting the setting on the child benefactor.
