Set Up Your Teachers:


Before You Begin:

Teachers must be added in Discover with the correct settings before they can use Playground.


Step 1: Add or Update Teacher Profiles in Discover

  1. Log into Discover

  2. Go to Staff Menu

  3. Enter an email address into the Personal Email field — this connects to Playground

  4. Make sure No Access is unticked

  5. Scroll down and click Save
    !! The “Enable Staff for Playground” checkbox will appear once you add in an email address !!


Step 2: Enable Staff for Playground

  1. Tick Enable Staff for Playground

  2. The staff member will receive an email to set up their Playground login



Step 3: Set Up Child Permissions for Playground 

    Part a: Add Playground Permission Field

    (i)    Go to Centre Settings > Child Fields

    (ii)    Create a permission:

            “I consent for my child’s image to be used in Playground”


    Part b:  Update Individual Child Permissions

    (i)    Go to the Children tab

    (ii)    Click on a child’s name

    (iii)    Tick the new Playground permission

    (iv)    Scroll down and click Save


**Print the enrolment form and ask parents to update this permission if needed. Then you can update the child profile permissions.



Step 4: Decide on which Frameworks and Templates you would like set up in Playground & Send them to your Onboarding Specialist.

Let your Onboarding Specialist know if:

  • You’d like all of them

  • Just some

  • Or want to add a specific one not listed below (send it through!)
