Welcome to Discover!


To ensure a smooth onboarding experience, there are a few key steps to complete along the way.

During your Welcome Call, your Onboarding Specialist will outline important milestones, schedule your calls, and create a tailored rollout plan for a successful transition.

Our team is here to support you, so don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions at any stage. Your Onboarding Specialist will guide you every step of the way, providing helpful resources for you and your staff.

The onboarding process varies slightly depending on your specific needs. There are three main onboarding types:

  • Brand New License

  • Discover to Discover – For changes in ownership or license number updates
    We copy existing information from a Discover set up. Once complete you can make any changes you require.

  • Import from Another Software Provider - We import what we can from your current software provider.

While the key milestones remain consistent, certain tasks may differ based on your onboarding type. Your Onboarding Specialist will ensure you have a clear path forward, no matter which option applies to you.

Milestone 1: Set Up Discover for Success

  • Attend your Welcome Call with your Onboarding Specialist
  • Return the Information required - Centre Set Up, Fees, & Holiday Policy
  • If you would like to use the Digital Enrolment Form in Discover, please send through a copy of your existing Enrolment Form and we can set this up for you.
  • Follow the instructions on how to Customise Discover for your Service.
  • Your Onboarding Specialist will set up your Service / Centre & Book your Migration if required

  • **Depending on the original software provider you are migrating from, will determine what we can/can't migrate. Your Onboarding Specialist will discuss this with you. **


Milestone 2: Mastering Profiles

  • Attend your Discover Staff Profiles Session with your Onboarding Specialist
  • Attend your Discover Child & Parent Profiles, Enrolments (Bookings, Timetables) & Attestations
  • Add any information to Discover that could not be migrated


Milestone 3: Get ready to Go Live

  • Attend your Family Experience Onboarding Session
  • Decide how your families will be signing their children in and out of the service 
  • Set Up your preferred way of families signing in and out of the service
  • Create your Roster for Go Live Week (Centrebased Only)
  • Set up Parent Sign in & Out
  • **Add a leaving date to all enrolments in your previous software
  • **Add a leaving date to all staff records in your previous software
  • **Remove all calendar entries in your previous software
  • **Download your RS7 for the weeks operating in your previous software
  • ***Have the previous owner download and send you the RS7 for the period they are operating the service.



Milestone 4: Go Live Week

  • Your Onboarding Specialist will connect your Service to the Ministry
  • Begin using Discover for your day to day Operations
  • Use the Discover sign in and out method you have chosen
  • Enter/change Attendances & Bookings as required
  • Attend your Go Live Session Q&A


Milestone 5: Parent Payments & Running Invoices

  • Attend your Parent Payments & Invoicing Onboarding Session   
  • Applying parent payments via your chosen method
  • Running your Invoicing


Milestone 6: Transition to Ongoing Support

  • Ask any questions you have about any of the processes or new queries that have come up since going live in Discover.
  • Then you will be handed over to our wonderful support team!

**Importing from another Software Provider

***Change of Ownership - Please note the Ministry will only send funds to the current owner of the service at RS7 time. Wash up funds is not handled by Discover.
