As of 1st July 2025 changes were made to how Pourato supplies funding information. Previously, funding was GST Inclusive and reported to two decimal points. Moving forward, supplied information is now GST Exclusive and is reported to six decimal points. Discover remains GST Inclusive and to two decimal points.
At first glance, this could appear as a discrepancy within reporting in Discover and what is supplied by Pourato.
How can I see my GST Exclusive figures within Discover?
Within the Centre Funding Report and Centre Funding Summary Report there are options for Show GST Inclusive that are selected by default.
Unselecting these options will present each of the outputs as GST Exclusive. Please note, that currently the Rate column remains inclusive of GST.
Will there be a discrepancy between what is provided by Pourato and what is present on Discover's reporting?
We anticipate that there may be minor differences between the funding amounts supplied by Pourato and those within Discover. With the change of reporting to six decimal points, the difference is likely to be small - rounding differences only.
Should services notice a larger difference than that of GST and rounding differences, please check that your Funding Advancement matches you Funding Notice in Pourato. Should you believe this be correct and continue to have issues, please do not hesitate to email our support team.
What rates does Discover use to calculate Centre Funding?
Discover uses the published rates provided by the Ministry of Education, as per the ECE Funding Handbook.
How can a service ensure that it's Funding is accurate?
- Ensure the accuracy of data entered within the Funding Advance screen. The hours entered should match the hours on your Funding Notice supplied by Pourato and the correct funding rate for that date range should be selected.
- Untick the 'Show GST Inclusive' options within the Centre Funding Report and Centre Funding Summary Report, ensuring that the calculations presented are closer to the values supplied by Pourato.
