We’re committed to continuously improving Discover and have some system enhancements to share with our services this week.
Bug Fixes
These fixes are available as of Thursday, 20 November 2025.
- Xero Payroll: We improved how draft timesheets are retrieved from Xero to ensure the system loads all eligible staff and their draft timesheets without missing entries or timing out.
- Discover App - Parent Staying Option Fix: Resolved an issue where the app occasionally displayed incorrect caregiver options during sign-in. The correct options now appear only when needed, ensuring a consistent and accurate sign-in experience.
- Centre Funding Analysis Report: The Centre Funding Analysis report has been temporarily hidden from the reporting page while we complete an update. Once the follow-up fix has been completed, the report will be re-added to the UI. All key information from this report can still be found via existing funding reports.
Tablet Device Update: Syncing and Sign In/Out
A new version of the Discover app (Version 5.8.25) is now available for immediate download on Android, with iOS to follow shortly. This update includes platform enhancements with the intention to eradicate the syncing and sign in/out error affecting some tablet devices. - Increased processing and timeout duration to better support slower networks, heavy processing tasks, and higher-latency environments.
- Improved backwards navigation between screens for smoother and more reliable operations all while delivering accurate and up-to-date data.
- Improved error messaging with greater clarity/details to assist users on next steps.
In addition to the above, you may also notice some temporary behaviour shifts within Discover. Please note that these behaviours were present in recent iterations of the app and will have no operational impact.
- Parent login will happen offline.
- Parents can make updates, but changes may take up to a minute to reflect the correct details. Please wait at least one minute or refresh the screen to view the latest information.
