Centre Setup: Creating Rooms

Creating rooms in Discover will allow administrators to specify capacity and age groups, which will inform roster data, assisting in maintaining child to teacher ratios (both MOE and custom centre ratios), plan child transitions and accurately forecast.



To Create, administrators will complete as follows:


  1. Navigate to Centre Setup
  2. Under Centre Settings, administrators will navigate to the Rooms tab
  3. Within the screen, to the bottom left, select the Create New button
  4. In the pop up, input the room information:
  • Room Name
  • No. of Children capacity
  • Capacity under 2
  • Age from (months)
  • Age to (months)

5. Once complete, select Create to embed



Please note: It is advisable to have overlapping ages. This will help in effective children transitions.
