Home App: Viewing and Commenting on Documentation

Modified on Tue, 14 May at 5:27 PM

Families will be able to view documentation that their child/children has been tagged in. They will be able to interact with educators and the parents of tagged children through public comments.

Viewing Documentation

Documentations are full of interesting information that has been shared by the teachers at the service. To view documentation, head to the Care tab and click onto the 'View All' next to Learning. The following information is viewable on each documentation:

  • Title and Description: written by the teachers as a summary of the documentation Learning outcomes being achieved through this observation
  • Tagged Children: the first names of the other children that have been tagged in the post.
  • Comments: These comments are from other parents as well as educators and centre educators.

Viewing Media on Documentation

The families will be able to view the media that has been added to the documentation, if any. In a documents, table and canvas, there is no limit on the amount of media that can be included. In Posts, there is a limit of 31 images and 1x30 second video that can be attached at one time. Swipe left to right to view photos on posts with multiple photos. Tap on an image to view it full screen.

Viewing videos

The families will be able to view and play any attached videos and hear the sound of the video. If autoplay is enabled, the video will begin to autoplay.

To make the video fullscreen, tap on the video.

Commenting on Documentation

Comments are created in a more communal way, such as social media platforms, and do not act as direct messages between the families and educator. Comments from the logged in user will appear in grey, from other families, these will be in orange, and from teachers in green.

  1. Under the care tab click on 'view all' next to learning.
  2. Select a documentation you would like to view in more depth
  3. At the bottom of the Post, click the image.png icon and you will be provided the option to write a comment.
  4. Type the comment and click 'Post'.
  5. Comments will be viewable by the centre educators as well as the parents and guardians of other children tagged on the Post.
