Features & Enhancements

Ministry

• We have added the third and fourth Parents/Guardians and Additional Emergency Contacts to bring the printed enrolment form in line with Ministry requirements. This change is due to recent audits requiring the sections to show despite the information being blank. 

Payments

• We have added a Default Billing Day under Centre Settings > Centre Details tab > Invoice Settings.
  This will allow services using Xplor Pay to pick the default day that bill payers will have their payment sent through for processing. This also separates the billing process from the invoicing process, meaning invoicing can run on alternative days to billing. When the billing day is reached, Discover will send through the Amount Owing on the bill payer’s account.
  
  
  
  
• Any payments scheduled for particular days will be sent through to Xplor Pay by Debit Success for processing that morning, reducing the time it takes for the billing cycle to be complete. Previously, if invoicing were run in the afternoon, it would send the payment to Xplor Pay, but the payment wouldn’t be processed until the following day. Now that invoicing and billing are separate, payments are sent to Debit Success just before the processing cycle starts. 
• We have also added a Custom Billing Day under the Bill Payer. This allows services using Xplor Pay to configure a mutually beneficial billing day for bill payers who might get paid on a different day than the Default Billing Day. 

Bug Fixes

• Donations will now show as donations on combined Tax Invoices/ Statements. 
• The enrolment widget now will not progress without Address, Mobile and Email for tamariki and main contacts. 
• For the visitor widget, the validation for the selected child will now validate against the child’s Official Name rather than Given Name. 
• If a Room Closure is added in a Home-based service, Discover will update any attendances for that closure as Unfunded. If the closure is marked as “No Change”, then it will not override the enrolment. 
  

Mobile Release - v5.7.47

Although there hasn’t been an update on the Discover app for a while, we want to announce that we’re in beta testing for a release that upgrades the backend framework of the application. This will improve processing speed and allow more features to be released. We expect to be releasing this update sometime in September. Thanks to all the beta testers helping with this!
