For services using the Discover App and/or Home App, families will be able to complete digital attendance logs. Administrators will be able to review these digital logs through their Discover system via the Attendance screen.
If using a paper-based roll, times will need to be entered manually on this screen.
To make any edits, add absent data or apply and comments or discounts, navigate to the Attendance screen and select either Attendance, Weekly Attendance or Weekly Attendance - All (these sections provide different views and filters for child attendance, but the functionality remains the same).
Please note: For those services using paper based attendance sheet, administrators will be able to manually input their sign in and out data as follows:
Adding Attendance Data
Adding a child to the roll
1. Click the Add Child button.
2. In the pop up window, input the:
- Room
- Child
- Session From time
- Session To time
- Enrolment Type
- Centre Fee
- Centre Charges
- Comment
3. Click 'Add Extra Day'.
4. An Attestation will be generated, please print and have the family sign to approve the change to their regular booking pattern.
Adding Attendance Data to a Session
1. Within the Attendance screen, navigate to the Date of attendance.
2. Navigate to the Child, then in From, input the child's arrival time.
3. In To, input the departure time of the child.
4. Under status, this will automatically update to Attend.
5. Click 'Save'.
Please note: Attendance times can be typed in 12 hr or 24 hr format.
Editing Attendance Data
By navigating to the Attendance screen, administrators will be able to edit any of the attendance record as follows:
- Edit the sign in time within the From column
- Edit the sign out time within the To column
- Update the booking status to be Absent or Holiday
- Apply a discount to a particular session
Please note: Applying Discounts through Attendance should be reserved for one-off/ad-hoc sessions. Ongoing discounts should be applied to the Enrolment under the child's profile.
Deleting Attendance Data
As bookings cannot be directly deleted from Discover, the child's enrolment/booking pattern will need to be adjusted instead.
Changing Days
To add or remove an extra day:
- Navigate to the Children > Select the Child.
- Navigate to the Enrolment tab > click 'Edit Week'.
- Use the arrow buttons to scroll back and forth through the dates as necessary
- Add in the extra day or make amendment to week, and click Save
Discover will alter the enrolment just for the week you have changed. We recommend printing the attestation form using the print icon next to the enrolment for the parent/ to sign, and also print the next week to get the parent to sign they are changing the enrolment back to the original.

You can use the below keyboard shortcuts for changing the Room and Date:
- For Windows : Previous Room: CTRL + Up Arrow | Next Room: CTRL + Down Arrow | Previous Day: CTRL + Left Arrow | Next Day: CTRL + Right Arrow
- For Mac : Previous Room: CTRL + Alt + Up Arrow | Next Room: CTRL + Alt + Down Arrow | Previous Day: CTRL + Alt + Left Arrow | Next Day: CTRL + Alt + Right Arrow
